this would be the "usted" form or the verb "estar" or "ser". you would either say "esta" or "es". let me know if that helps or you need a further explanation. smile

  • You mean the tú form? Usted is the formal usage. - Fredbong Aug 24, 2009 flag

Sounds like a homework question to me. On this forum you'll only get some help if you've tried to find the answer yourself first.

What's your guess as to "you are" (familiar) in Spanish?

There is a verb conjugation tool at the top of this page.

So, actually i stand corrected...lol. Marianne is correct and I was definently wrong, because the ústed form is formal, meaning you would use it to address adults or someone in a formal enviroment. But, the new conjugations would "estás" and "eres" for the "tú" form both second person singular.

  • I think usted form is informal but could be wrong, always get these mixed up .Ken - kenwilliams Aug 26, 2009 flag
  • Yes, Ken, you are a bit mixed up on this one. "Usted" is formal and "tú" is informal. :-) - --Mariana-- Aug 26, 2009 flag
