At the begining of each lesson the teacher Paralee says something that sounds like: vamanos. I think she says let's go or come with us. Is she saying vayamos ? or something else ?

Vámonos

with the s (vamos) or when it is dropped (vamo ) the word is grave and the stress is on the "a".

Therefore, when you append the nos you must add an accent mark to maintain the stress on the "a".

You might also look at the previous discussions about whether to call these indirect commands exhortations or part of the imperative mood, but I've seen another source recently that includes the 1st person, plural as part of the imperative mood (along with the 2nd person formal and informal commands.)

She's saying "Vamonos", the nosotros command form of "irse". Although most nosotros commands are formed using the subjunctive nosotros form of the verb, "ir" uses the indicative form. You are right in saying that it means "Let's go!".
