The description of the badge says "Accumulate 2,000 points via Learn and Flashcards", and I have completed that. I have over 3,600 points. Is there a delay on the badges, like to be verified? Thank you.

EDIT: This is now fixed. If you should have already gotten Bronze Points, Silver Points, Gold Points, or Platinum Points, you will get it the next time you earn any points. (There's a chance you could even get, say, Bronze and Silver simultaneously.) At some point we'll go through and catch everyone we missed, even if they never get any points ever again. Thanks again for the excellent catch.

Excellent question -- thank you for your attentiveness. Yes, you should have gotten the badge. Some badges might not be awarded for up to a day after they're earned, but this is not one of them -- this one should have been awarded within seconds of your passing the threshold.

We'll fix this... and you'll get your badge, and your living room will be the envy of all those who are not so fortunate or talented as you. Hehe. smile

Surely you've got a point here, but... are you here to collect medals on your living-room, or to learn languages?

No insult intended, really.

  • This is only one of what I fear will be countless similar threads when members become more familiar with the reward system. - qfreed 13 de Ago, 2009 marcar
  • Well, I'm hoping bug report posts will become ever less frequent, haha. But I see your point. I generally like badges, but they may be dangerously distracting to some. Do you have any ideas about how to mitigate that? - Toph 13 de Ago, 2009 marcar
  • You're asking the wrong person. I don't like the reward system at all. I don't want silly or less than brillant replies given a lower priority. They are instructive. - qfreed 14 de Ago, 2009 marcar

I understand what you are meaning. No, I'm not just here for the medals, but I was just a curious if it was something that needed to be reported.

  • Sure, don't get me wrong. I'd do the same if I were you, but there are some people who only seek rewards. Sorry. - lazarus1907 13 de Ago, 2009 marcar

¡Muchas gracias, Toph!

It looks like you have 4,682 points according to the points section of your user profile page. It says 5K next to your name because the number is rounded to the nearest thousands. Only a few hundred more points and you'll get the badge.

  • The Bronze Points threshold is only 2,000 points, though.... - Toph 13 de Ago, 2009 marcar

Hi Toph You will probably find she reached her 2,000 points way before the new system came into being as she is now almost 5,000 points. Other members have also mentioned that they too have not received their badges. You must have had some form of "carry over" in the programme setup. Perhaps that isn't registering the amount of points to pick up the badge awards.
